City of Annapolis:  Almost 41,000 residents; approximately 4,200 businesses (Ward 3 has by far the most, over 900); over 3 million visitors per year; less than 600 staff with approximately 50 of them being seasonal; Annapolis being Maryland's capital city and with what that entails; and we are the closest capital city to the nation's capital, which is the heart beat of the world.

For example, recent helicopters circling.

APD:  The City is in the process of hiring a maintenance company that will maintain and service our CCTV cameras. Keeping the existing cameras operable is crucial.  In addition to CCTV, the County’s Real Time Information Center (RTIC) is now in operation.  RTIC is a 24 hour operational center that uses camera technology to assist in combating crime.  We are in the process of integrating our CCTV cameras with the County.  There is also a component of the system that will allow local businesses to integrate their existing store cameras into the RTIC.
